Oral health care

by Herbs, Etc.

Like many areas of the body, your mouth is teeming with bacteria, most of them harmless. Normally the body's natural defenses and good oral health care, such as daily brushing and flossing, can keep issues under control. However, without proper oral hygiene, these issues can reach levels that might lead to additional oral challenges.

There’s one culprit behind both receding gums and gum pockets: acid-loving bacteria.

So the first order of business is to cut down their numbers. Make sure you’re not brushing too vigorously. Overly enthusiastic brushing can cause gum tissue to become irritated and lose its close connection to the tooth. When the roots of your teeth are unprotected, they become super sensitive. Perhaps your gums have pulled away from some of your teeth, creating pockets. It's never too late to improve these uncomfortable situations...or at the very least to stop their progression. Save
